DESCRIPTION:“Looking to read more fiction in 2023? Looking to meet some fellow colleagues for an evening of interesting discussions and conviviality? Then look no further. Over the next year\, the reader’s club will meet every 6 weeks  to discuss thought-provoking books over some food and drinks at the Riverview Room in the newly re-opened Battersea Power Station development.\n\nAs well as meeting new people and enjoying a sociable evening\, participants will receive a CPD certificate after each meeting.  We will meet on Fridays at 7pm (aiming to end at 9pm) – look out for the dates on the SEA website. Come to as many meetings as you want!”\n\n\n\n2nd book – “Our Man in Havana” by Graham Green – “A espionage thriller\, a penetrating character study\, and a political satire. It tells of MI6’s man in Havana\, Wormold\, a former vacuum-cleaner salesman turned reluctant secret agent out of economic necessity. To keep his job\, he files bogus reports based on Lamb’s Tales from Shakespeare and dreams up military installations from vacuum-cleaner designs. Then his stories start coming disturbingly true.”\n \n “There are many countries in our blood\, aren’t there\, but only one person. Would the world be in the mess it is if we were loyal to love and not to countries?”\n– Graham Green\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIrene is a Regent’s University graduate and works as an existential psychotherapist in private practice. In 2021\, she ran the Therapists Book Club which met monthly over zoom for a year.
