A call to stories and conversations
Join Sara Angelini in sharing stories and weaving conversations about what it is like to be a woman, a daughter, a mother in today’s world, and exploring how harnessing the wisdom, resilience and power of female ancestors can contribute to authentic and meaningful living in the now. We will consider themes of woman- and motherhood, the meaning of love and care, authenticity, reclaiming our voices as women in today’s world, embodied action, resilience, creativity of daily life, courage, sisterhood, gathering and creating communities.
The springboard for this talk is Sara’s recently published book Rivers untangled. In her book women tell their stories of internal and relational experiences, their reflections about and care for others never far from their thoughts, nor their mother with her own told or untold stories in the shadows of female ancestors. Sara shows how connecting to stories of her matrilineal group has been a gateway to experiencing flow towards resilience, creativity and empowered living that is embodied, and in deep connection with nature and fellow human beings.
Sara Angelini is a Psychotherapist and Psychologist working in private practice and in the NHS where she offers one-to-one and group psychotherapy to patients, runs staff well-being sessions and teaches trauma informed care.
Sara is a mother of three to a teenager and young adults.
