Getting out of the me I have become
by Julia Kukard
Have you ever felt stuck? Doing the same thing over and over, getting no traction in the world and you don’t know why?
Julia will be presenting her research on ‘stuckness’ using the work of her favourite philosophers Biko, Fanon and Sartre. Her research uses a sample group of senior South African leaders including CEOs, in order to understand how leaders get stuck and how this state can be released. The research is not just applicable to leaders but to all humans because we all get stuck from time to time. The session will be practical and aimed at coaches, therapists and humans in general.
Julia Kukard is a coach, intern psychotherapist and facilitator whose work and life is coloured by Existential philosophy. She has just submitted her research for her doctorate in Existential Psychotherapy at the NSPC and is grateful to the Hans Cohn Foundation for helping her to pay her bills. The research above is a personal response to her own desire for more freedom in life. She has been working in training and development for almost 30 years in a variety of countries. Her favourite poets are Charles Bukowski and Rumi.
